காலத் தேவைகள் கணத்தில் மறந்தன
Every year during October, Marine Corps Air Station (US military) in San Diego put on their annual Air Show. It was from today to Sunday. My office is on the11th floor and has a balcony with a nice view towards the air station. Around 3 in the afternoon, bunch of us stepped out on the balcony and watched the Air show for free :)
The highlights today were the "US Navy Blue Angels" and the "Canadian Snowbirds". It is always an awesome sight to watch these planes flying in formation, with their wings and noses almost touching.
Movie Trivia:
Lot of scenes for the movie Top Gun (Tom Cruise & Kelly McGillis)
were shot in the San Diego Air Station and in the "Kansas City Barbecue" bar. This bar has a notorious shrine. Do your own web search and you will find some interesting info ;)
Seen hot shots I think that was better than top gun :)

ReplyDeleteAlways Love the Blue Angels! Sri missed the Chicago Air Show by a week; Whenever i see an Air Show, i always remember a movie big bro took me to - Airport 80; was the first film i saw airplane maneuvers; still green on my mind:-) Do you remember it bro?

ReplyDeleteI don't remember Airport 80 but I have taken you with me for lot of movies - only to those movies that you were allowed to see :)
There was one incident that is green in my mind too: You were a little (but heavy) boy :) While going to the theater you walked. After the movies was over, you were tired and sleepy and didn't want to walk back. You asked me to carry you which I did. Boy, you were heavy!!! My hands were aching for few days after that :) Can never forget this incident :) :) :)
